8 Weeks to “I DO!”

In March we visited our sunflower venue – with a little more snow and a little less greenery than we will have in June (hopefully). We didn’t have a snowball fight, but in this picture Momoh looks like he thinks I’m about to do something mischievous. He’s probably right if the grin on my face has anything to say about it! It was so nice to have Emily, my parents, and our officiants along for this visit to see the space and picture our big day. Now, we are eight. short. weeks. from becoming Mr. and Mrs. and I can hardly wait to visit the venue again.

In the sun – or rain, but let’s all hope for sun – surrounded by the people we love and who love us dearly, celebrating the start of our lives together. 8 short weeks until we don’t have to say goodbye and live 1000 miles away from each other. 8 short weeks until the stress of wedding planning is a thing of the past. 8 short weeks until we share our love with everyone in one of the biggest days of our journey so far. Eight. short. weeks.

I don’t know if anyone is here following along and probably that’s because there hasn’t been too much to follow. Of course, if you are here, I’m happy to have an audience! I’m thinking a lot today about the next steps in planning – figuring out the catering and the final guest list, putting together the bouquets I ordered, finding a aesthetician to do hair and makeup for my girls, when to head to MN and how to get there… We still have a lot to do, but in the end, I know it’s all “stuff” and the important part is – marrying the man who makes me laugh until I cry and starting our lives together as husband and wife. Eight. short. weeks.

If you are still here and you have not yet sent in your RSVP card – please send it my way! Just pop that baby in the mail with your name and your accept/regret decision. Whether you will be there for our big day in person or you’re joining us in spirit, it will certainly help me a lot in the planning to know if we need to have a chair for you at the wedding and at the reception. I refuse to be a bridezilla, but the better I can plan now, the better it will be later – plus, at least we will have some food for you at the reception! In just eight. short. weeks.

-xo – Amy (& Momoh)
