Adventures of Amy and Momoh

A lot happens in 42 days. The days sometimes feel slow and the weeks fly by. Of course, that also leads to fewer posts when life is busy, but… that’s just how things go. For us? Let’s do the math of the first 6 weeks of married life.

~ 1 move + 1 road trip across 4 states to WyHOMEing. 2 job interviews for Momoh. 2 Laramie farmer’s markets. 1 Friday at the Plaza in Cheyenne.

~ 2 Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeos (Momoh liked it so much we went to the finals, y’all). 1 CFD night show. 1 CFD parade.

~ 1 fishing adventure in the Snowy Range.

~ 1 party in our home to say farewell to 2 of my colleagues.

~ 1 BIG “tour of the west” road trip adventure – Momoh gets the credit for the title on that one, but I did a heckuva good job planning it, if I do say so myself. On this trip, Momoh checked off 7 new western states (only missing Arizona if you look at a map north to south on the western side of Wyo), 4 national parks, 4 state capitols, 1 visit to Lake Tahoe, 1 university campus (USU), 1 quick trip to the top of the Space Needle, and 1 MLB stadium for a Mariners game. Oregon was a new state for me and though I’ve seen parts of the other states, the new roads were a lot of fun to explore. Over 3,500 miles – most of which was on 2-lane highways – in 9 days. What a great first adventure for us! It’s not our Hawaiian honeymoon, but was a trip for the books and we sure had a great time exploring.

~ 707 photos delivered from the photographer YESTERDAY. We cannot wait to revisit our special day!

~ 1 more road trip next week before we start back to work. This time, we are headed to Vegas to go to 1 BSB show at the Sphere with 3 of our favorite humans who happen to be our siblings while 2 grandparents watch 1 cutie pie and 1 old dog for our night out on the town. The route home? It might involve at least 1 more national park and 1 new western state for Momoh. Any guesses?

~ 1 party TOMORROW to welcome Momoh to Wyoming. Cupcakes, mini golf, and all the fun of welcoming Momoh to his new home in a park where we spent a lot of time growing up with a bunch of Cheyenne people we consider family. We cannot wait!

~ 42 short days as husband and wife. A lifetime to go. ❤
