The last 5 days we have been reliving every minute of our big day. It honestly feels like a fairy tale or a dream that we woke up from too soon. We just keep talking about how much fun we had and the “helluva party” that is starting off the helluva good life we will have together. ❤ I think this picture sums it up perfectly. The smiles, the look in our eyes, the intertwined hands – Baby, I Got You.
Yesterday, we took our first “turn left” adventure as husband and wife. After moving some furniture and donating items, we hit the backroads and headed up to Duluth. Neo was our faithful backseat rider and often had his head out the window, ears flapping in the breeze with his sniffer working overtime. Here’s a sweet picture of the old man living his best life. He has been extra spoiled this week and finished off his day with some chicken nuggets and fries on the ride home. ❤

Our trip to Duluth was a lot of fun and just what we needed. We “turned left” with no real timeline in mind and only the open road ahead of us. On the north shore adventure, we found Momoh’s smoked fish place that he has been dreaming of returning to for years, drove across every bridge to/from Superior, Wisconsin, went up to Gooseberry Falls State Park (on the scenic route, of course), and FINALLY found a beach so I could get my feet wet in Lake Superior. It’s surprisingly hard to find a place to do that? After driving around until almost 7pm in search of a beach, Momoh now knows how much I love putting my feet in the water. I only said it about 1,000 times and the point was not lost. If I had been wearing the right attire, I would have absolutely been swimming with the locals – there is no water too cold for Amy Peterson, as my family can attest. On the way home, he made his first married promise to ALWAYS drive me anywhere until we find a spot where I can actually touch the water.

Today, it’s back to packing, organizing, and preparing for our trip to WyHOMEing. We got a room for Monday night and plan to squeeze in visits with everyone we can over the next two days before we head South (and West).
Let the adventure begin – or continue – with stops along the way whenever our hearts desire.
-xo- Amy & Momoh
