Are you asking yourself questions about our big day? Wondering about any number of details? Well, here’s a quick post about some of the fun – kind of like an Amy + Momoh FAQ π
What time should I arrive at the venue?
We will have amazing live music starting at 3:30pm. Arrive early to join the celebration! Parking is also down a bit of a path and even though they will drive some guests to the wedding site in golf carts, you might want to plan your shoe choices accordingly. The wedding party is going to be rocking Adidas sneakers, so we are going for comfort here!
What are the wedding colors?
Our colors are cobalt/royal blue, sunflower yellow, and fuschia. Of course, you can wear any color you’d like and we will be happy to have you there to celebrate with us. Well, I suppose traditionally you wouldn’t wear white, but all other colors are fair game.
Is the wedding outside?
Yes! The wedding will be outside unless mother nature has other plans with some feisty “June in Wisconsin” rain and how beautiful -and how much- it can be. We also know how much we love the sunshine and all the beauty it brings, so let’s all pray for that. If we need to, we will move inside – and, remember that they say, rain on a wedding day is good luck! Because we are praying for an outside service, we will also have sunscreen available to protect your skin as we don’t want anyone to have a sunburn as a wedding gift.
Speaking of gifts…
We are delighted to have you at our wedding and truly feel that your presence is gift enough. On the back of the invitation, we encouraged folks to consider a heartfelt card and sharing a recipe that we can cook together for years to come. We do not have a registry because Momoh is moving to Wyoming in July.
From the back of our invitation: “As we embark on the journey of married live, your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ever receive. A card with your heartfelt wishes and the joy of sharing this moment with you mean the world to us. In preparation for Momoh’s move to Wyoming, we do not have a wedding gift registry. Any monetary gifts we receive will go toward our honeymoon and Momoh’s relocation.”
Can I pet the cows?
We are getting married on a farm – Sunflower Hill Farm – so there will likely be cows in the pasture nearby. Guests are not allowed to pet the cows – we had to sign a waiver. We highly encourage you to join us in a “cheers” by drinking Wisconsin’s own Spotted Cow at the reception, but that should be the only cow you spend much time with during our special day.
What do we do after the ceremony?
We will take pictures, share a meal together, and dance the night away! The reception space is just up the hill from the ceremony site. We fell in LOVE with the venue because of the vibes, but the access to everything we need in one space is also a big selling point. Note, consider your shoe choice again here, Amy plans to ***dance, dance, dance*** and can’t wait to share the evening with you all.
